Everybody likes new things!  A new pair of sneaks to kick on at the start of your day.  That smell when you open up the door to your new car.  Or even just a new pillow, with the perfect fluff factor to lay your head down at night.  Springtime in April also means NEW Hunter Douglas Products in the world of window treatments!  Just released on April 17^th, these motorization operating systems, extended fabric options, and variety of cool features throughout all of the window treatment selections, may very well be what you have been waiting for in your space!

Hunter Douglas Motorized Shutters

Shutters are a great for windows of all shapes and sizes and spaces of all designs and styles.  They are also a popular choice for specialty shaped windows, which many times are in hard to reach places.  While they are favorite among our clients, they have always had to be manually operated by tilting the louvers to various positions to achieve the privacy and light control you desire.

Palm Beach PolySatin Shutters

PowerView Motorization has finally broken through into the shutter world with Palm Beach Polysatin Shutters!  Enjoy the convenience of hands-free louver tilt operation with the pebble remote.  If you have shutter panels with a divider rail or split tilt, you can independently operate the louver sections with motors in both the top and bottom rails.  These shutters now are available with an increased divider rail height limit too!

PowerView motorization is trending hard and fast with today’s technology as it adds simplicity and convenience to your home.  With now almost

all of the Hunter Douglas treatments available with PowerView, Hunter Douglas has worked hard to make enhancements to better serve you!  The enhanced motor technology improves your battery life up to 15%, enabling your shades to work longer before you have to change them.*  It also improves the position accuracy of the shade through the entire range of motion, reduces some annoying light gaps on select treatments, and provides better signal reception!

SoftTouch Motorization

Due to the fascination and popularity among clients, SoftTouch Motorization (previously only available in last year’s new Sonnette Cellular Roller Shades) is now available in the following window treatments…

• Alustra Woven Textures
• Designer Banded Shades

SoftTouch Motorization allows for simplistic wand-controlled shade operation with a gentle pull to lower and push to raise.  You can even set a “favorite” to have your shade go to the exact position you prefer.  These wands are available in your treatments coordinating hardware colors and are super safe for your kiddos at home, with no exposed cords!

Duolite: Two Opacities in One Shade

Vignette Modern Roman Shades

Get the best of both worlds with the new Duolite option which combines a light-filtering or sheer front shade with a room darkening back panel together on the same roll!  The levels of privacy and light control are practically unlimited with this option, giving you day/night levels of convenience.

So how does it work?  Both shades roll off of the back of the rotator rail.  Therefore, once the front shade (either light-filtering or sheer) is fully lowered, you can then lower the back room darkening panel if you still desire a bit more privacy or less light.  This duolite feature is available in all fabrics and colors and is exclusive to PowerView Motorization.

NEW and Extended Design Options!

Hunter Douglas strives to provide countless design options to suit any style, personality, preference, or taste!  That is why they are constantly working to release more and more fabric selections throughout the majority of their treatments.

Blinds Dress up your blinds with decorative tapes now available on SimpleLift EverWood and Modern Precious Metals. Also, all 36 colors are

available with ParkLand SimpleLift woodblinds too for 1” and 1.5” tapes and 2” and 2.5” slat sizes.

Provenance Woven Woods Choose from 9 new styles and updates to existing styles in the Provenance woven woods collection.  These styles include lighter weaves, more textures, and some new neutrals with some pops of color to coordinate with your surrounding décor.

New Valance options are also available now.

• Roman Valance: gives a more relaxed look
• Cornice Valance: a new fabric wrapped valance that gives off a tailored look

 Designer Screen Shades and Skyline Panels 

New fabrics are now available with Designer Screen Shades and Skyline Panels.  Four of the new collections include grays in screen fabrics with 3% and 5% openness factors.  Five of the new styles are polyester screen fabrics which give you the benefits of solar screens with the classy look of a roller screen fabric.  These are featured in the popular 1% and 3% openness factors categories.
